Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences – Sjöberg Prize

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences invites nominations for the Sjöberg prize for cancer research. This recognises scientists who have made major contributions to the knowledge of disease mechanisms, risk factors or the treatment or prevention of cancer.

Candidates may be researchers or a consortia of researchers in Sweden or in countries outside of Sweden.

The prize is worth USD 1 million, which may be divided between one or several recipients. 10 per cent of the prize goes directly to the winner, and the remaining sum must be used for research.

Deadline: 20th April 2022
