The International Sports Study Centre invites applications for the FIFA research scholarship. This supports academic research related to football and support applied research that identifies solutions to specify problems and issues faced by football stakeholders. Research should fall within the humanities and social sciences, law economics or medical sciences.
Applicants must either be a doctoral student in at least their second year and have completed the initial stages of their thesis, or be a researcher, with or without doctorate, whose academic research work is documented and firmly established at a research institution. They must be 40 years of age or younger. Researchers may apply individually or as a group comprising up to five individuals, in which case one individual must be designated as the project leader. Applications may be in English, French or Spanish.
Scholarships are worth up to USD 30,000 for a maximum period of one year.
