Every year the European Commission organises the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) – the biggest event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. The 2020 edition attracted more than 4,600 participants.
This year, the virtual Policy Conference will take place between the 25th and the 29th of October under the theme ‘Towards 2030: Reshaping the European Energy System’.
There are two calls that may be of interest to your project:
1. Call for Award applications
The EU Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding individuals and projects for their innovation in energy efficiency and renewables. This year, the four Award categories are:
- ENGAGEMENT: Recognising activities with high social acceptance potential, that inspire and motivate citizens to change their energy usage habits.
- INNOVATION: Recognising outstanding EU-funded activities that show an original and innovative path toward the clean energy transition.
- WOMEN IN ENERGY: Recognising outstanding activities led by women that, if replicated, help to advance the clean energy transition in Europe and contribute to the European energy and climate targets.
- YOUNG ENERGY TRAILBLAZER: Recognising outstanding activities carried out by young people (below 35) which advance the clean energy transition in Europe and inspire ambitious climate and energy action.
The INNOVATION category is reserved for EU-funded projects. The H2020 project coordinators could apply for an Award in this category.
For more information regarding the awards competition, please have a look at the guidelines and make sure to fill in the application form before the 17th of May 2021.
2. Call to host sessions at the Policy Conference
The Policy Conference hosts a number of sessions – interactive meetings, each lasting 1.5 hours (90 minutes) – that focus on sustainable energy issues and debate new policy developments, best practices and new ideas.
If you would like to apply to host a session, please read the guidelines and fill in the on-line application form before the extended deadline on the 17th of May 2021.
