The chief investigator must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia or have an appropriate work visa in place. They must be based in Australia for at least 80 per cent of the funding period. International collaborators may participate as CIs.
The estimated budget is AUD 85 million. Grants are worth up to AUD 5 million each over a maximum period of five years.
