The aim of this program is to support the development of scientific and technological
cooperation between Italian and Israeli researchers and to strengthen the scientific
partnership between research groups from both countries, by establishing bilateral
research networks, enhancing research cooperation, and promoting the exchange of
knowledge.
Main areas of cooperation:
1. Immunotherapy in cancer. The call is aimed at advancing our understanding of
the immune landscape in cancer and developing more effective and innovative
therapies to address unmet clinical needs. Proposals should prioritize identifying
biomarkers that predict patient responses to immunotherapy and address
current challenges, including adverse events and non-responsiveness in some
patients. Collaborative, interdisciplinary approaches that integrate immunology,
oncology, and advanced therapeutic technologies are highly encouraged.
2. New strategies for products derived from polymeric waste. The call addresses
the development of new strategies for products derived from polymeric waste
and focuses on innovative approaches to recycling and valorizing plastics and
other polymeric materials (e.g. cellulose, proteins, chitin, alginate). Project
proposals should aim at transforming waste polymers into valuable products
through advanced chemical, biological, physical, and mechanical processes.
