Prof. Ranzi attended the 17th Plenary Meeting of the ASEA UNINET network which brings together over 80 universities from 18 European and Southeast Asian countries. The central theme of the meeting is that of sustainability and in this context the initiatives undertaken by the University of Brescia were also appreciated. Particular concern is the problem of pollution for particles in the seas of Southeast Asia, the rise in the ocean level and the danger for the highly populated coastal areas represented by the tsunamis. At the meeting prof. Ranzi was elected national coordinator of the Italian universities of the network and it was decided to organize a Brescia, from 10 to 13 November 2019, the meeting of the 18 national coordinators.
