Horizon Europe: published the outcome of the consultation on the new European partnerships

As part of the Horizon Europe strategy planning, the European Commission has launched a process of reviewing and rationalizing existing European partnerships, with the aim of streamlining the number of participants to improve their impact and effectiveness.

In May, the Commission therefore launched a consultation among Member States on 44 possible European partnerships, in order to guarantee their participation in the definition of priorities and objectives of the new partnerships.

The feedback provided by 30 countries (Iceland and Norway and all Member States) has been analyzed by the Commission and summarized in a report (European Partnerships under Horizon Europe: results of the structured consultation of Member States) published today. The document will be discussed during the meeting of the Shadow Strategic Program Committee scheduled for today, June 27, 2019, and will be the basis of the work of preparation of the new partnerships.

The document, in addition to presenting the main results of the consultation, identifies the key issues raised by the Member States and proposes a way forward for the issues highlighted.
