Visiting Professor – Prof. Nicolaas Bernardus Roozen
Noise and vibration control is gaining importance for the industrial engineer to meet increasingly strict acoustic requirements. These are imposed by more stringent regulations and by marketing requirements resulting from a more demanding end-user of the product. These acoustic requirements can only be met by considering noise and vibration control as an integral part of the product creation process, which in turn puts high demands on the industrial design engineer. The course held by Prof. Roozen has given a thorough understanding of the basic concepts that are important for airborne and structure-borne noise and vibration control in machinery.
