Novo Nordisk Foundation invites applications for its tandem programme – translational research collaboration between basic and clinical researchers. This supports Danish translational health research in order to stimulate the transition of basic research to clinical practice and vice versa. Projects should be clinically relevant, cross-disciplinary and translational in nature in order to catalyse improved treatment or diagnosis of patients and increase understanding of underlying disease mechanisms.
The main applicant, and the proposed project, must be based at a university, hospital or other non-profit research institution in Denmark. Consortia must consist of one basic researcher and one clinical researcher. The co-applicant may be based in Denmark or abroad. The clinical researcher must have current clinical responsibilities and may not be employed in a full time research position. Applications from PhD students and postdocs to carry out research under supervision, and applications where PhD students or postdocs are named as co-applicants will not be considered.
Four grants, worth between DKK 7 million and DKK 10m each for four years, are available.
Deadline: 12th January 2022
