Four new international projects have been funded at the University of Brescia.
Under Horizon 2020, and in particular in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions, the European Commission has funded two projects:
- ENdoThelial macRophage Alliance In Neuroinflammation – ENTRAIN, as part of the Innovative Training Networks sub-program, in which the University of Brescia participates as a partner with Prof. Marina Pizzi, Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine as PI;
- Automatic Control of Anesthesia – ACTAN, within the sub-program Individual Fellowship, in which the University of Brescia is the host institution Prof. Antonio Visioli, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering as PI.
The European Union has also funded another project within a call for proposals promoted by Eurobench, European Robotic Frameworkfor bipedal locomotion benchmarking:
- Benchmarking Upper Limbs Loads on Exoskeleton Testbeds – BULLET, in which the University of Brescia is coordinator, with Dr. Matteo Lancini, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering as PI.
Finally, in the extra-European context, the Alzheimer’s Association financed the following project:
- Extenzin-based therapy for MCI subjects, which sees the University of Brescia participate as a partner, with Prof. Barbara Borroni, Department of Clinical and Experimental Sciences, as PI.
The total amount of funding for the University amounts to € 582,557.88.
Finally, at the national level, with the Call for Proposals PRIN 2017, the MIUR awarded the University a total funding of € 2,316,982.00, for 16 projects.
