The United Kingdom and the European Union have agreed to extend Article 50 until 31 October 2019. During this period Great Britain will remain a full Member State, with the related rights and duties linked to this status.
This implies that, until then, British organizations will be able to continue to participate in Horizon 2020 and will remain eligible for funding provided under the program.
In the event of ratification of an agreement based on the provisions defined in the Withdrawal Agreement being negotiated, the United Kingdom’s participation in Horizon 2020 would be guaranteed until the end of the program and for the duration of the ongoing projects. There are also measures to ensure continuity of financing even in the case of a no-deal scenario.
