The Joint Programming Initiative “A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life” (JPI HDHL) announced the launch of the new Implementation Plan for the years 2019-2021, which translates the objectives of the SRA – Strategic Research Agenda – into tangible targets for the next three years and defines the financing activities that will be carried out in the coming years.

These are some of the aspects identified as crucial:

  • Alignment at national, European and international level including the involvement and commitment of Member States to strengthen existing partners and to build new ones;
  • Joint actions to improve the impact of research investments with financing activities on key topics, collaboration with industry and supporting research infrastructures;
  • Effective use, dissemination and involvement of stakeholders to achieve a high impact of collective efforts;
  • Sustainability Roadmap Leading the HDPI JPI to a Self-Sustainable Future in Close Connection with Horizon Europe.

To achieve this, the activities will be carried out in close collaboration with policy makers, health professionals and other end users of research investments in food, nutrition and health.
