The European Commission has recently opened the public consultation dedicated to the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan.
The consultation is based on a document containing the first orientations towards the first strategic plan (Orientations towards the first Strategic Plan implementing the research and innovation framework program Horizon Europe) and is part of a process initiated by the European Commission that will define the investment priorities for the first four years of Horizon Europe, the next European framework program dedicated to research and innovation.
The document “Horizon Europe: Brief interim report on the web-based consultation” is now available online, which shows the main indications gathered by September 8, 2019.
In detail the report shows:
- the method of web consultation
- the profiles and areas of interest of the participants in the consultation
- the indications on the different cross-cutting themes mentioned by the legal regulations as particularly relevant for the development of the strategic plan
- the preferences and messages received from the participants on the expected impacts of the six Horizon Europe clusters
- the links between the answers received and the political guidelines of the newly elected President.
