American Leprosy Missions, in partnership with the Neglected Tropical Disease NGO Network and Novartis, invites abstracts for its neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) innovation prize. This aimst to identify and support innovators with creative ideas to solve some of the most challenging issues posed by NTDs across the globe. The overall goal is to encourage and support creativity and ingenuity, funding new ideas that can result in cost-effective, scalable and transformative impact for people affected by NTDs. Funding may support ideas aligned with the strategic domains of behaviour, the environment, social inclusion and equity and treatment and care. Priority will be given to proposals addressing high-morbidity NTDs or to solutions that address multiple diseases.
US and foreign non-profit and mission-driven for-profit organisations may apply, including government agencies and academic institutions regardless of location, age, size or budget. Preference is given to collaborative teams. Selected finalists will be asked to undergo additional due diligence and eligibility checks to ensure the ability to manage funds and execute the idea effectively.
The first prize is worth USD 20,000 and the second prize is worth USD 15,000.
