Sustainable finance strategy: the Commission opens a public consultation

The European Commission has launched a consultation on the renewed Sustainable Finance Strategy which contains an overview of future actions to increase private investment in sustainable projects in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal. The objective of the strategy is also to integrate and manage environmental and climate risks in the European financial system. The consultation therefore serves to gather the greatest number of opinions and contributions to develop an effective strategy so that the economy of the future is as sustainable and resilient, a need made even more evident by the crisis linked to Covid-19. All interested citizens and organizations are invited to respond to the consultation, including social security and insurance institutions, banks, NGOs, academic bodies and public authorities. It is possible to participate until July 15, 2020. Source (First)
