This Young Investigator Award is designed to fund a physician-scientist during the transition from a fellowship program to a faculty appointment. The grant will provide $50,000 in funding over one year to conduct translational cancer research.
At the start of the grant term, July 1, 2022, applicants must have a medical degree (MD, DO, or international equivalent), be in the last two years of their final subspecialty training with an interest in pursuing a career in investigative clinical oncology, and work under the auspices of a mentor in a laboratory or clinical research setting at an academic medical institution. There are no citizenship or geographic requirements; however, the applicant must have a valid, active medical license in the country where the research will be conducted.
