The European Food Safety Authority invites proposals for its call on priority pests – data and evidence collection in support to the pest specific assessments. This supports the preparation of the maximum 60 pest data and information extraction in order to characterise the threat posed by a given pest. Projects will collect information on:
- biology, ecology and epidemiology of the pest;
- hosts of the pest and their current distribution in each member state, both in natural and managed environments;
- type and amount of damage;
- spread mechanisms and distance;
- effective control options.
Organisations may apply individually or in consortia.
Grants are worth up to €250,000 for 23 months.
