The Munich Re Foundation invites applications for its risk award. This supports projects the field of nature-based disaster risk reduction that also highlight the importance of social and economic stability. Projects may include nature- and ecosystem-based solutions that reduce disaster risk, achieve sustainable development and address the climate emergency. Projects must include an implementation aspect.
Research institutions, non-governmental organisations and non-profit organisations are especially encouraged to apply. Teams may include participants from partner institutions, but it is not advisable to form large consortia.
The award is worth up to €100,000 for between six months and two years. The total project budget may not exceed €1 million.
