In view of a potential UK exit from the European Union without agreement over the next 12 months, following which the UK would no longer be eligible to receive EU funding, the COST Association has requested British grant holders to hand over their role to another COST Action partner organization in which they participate.
It is emphasized that this step does not preclude the possibility for English researchers to participate in COST Actions and to continue to hold positions such as Action Chair, Vice Chair and Working Group leader within the same.
This provision is necessary in order not to jeopardize the networks of researchers managed by British institutions and to allow the regular performance of activities.
