On 7 June 2019, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation (MINCyT) of Argentina hosted the 11th Joint Steering Committee on cooperation on science and technology between the European Union and Argentina in Buenos Aires. Both EU and Argentina agreed to continue developing common principles and the framework conditions needed to cooperate in research and innovation based on trust. Underlining the commitment to pursue common approaches to Open Access, Argentina will join Coalition S, the global coalition promoting open access to scientific results. Both delegations exchanged views on and agreed to step up cooperation on the bioeconomy, marine research and health research, among other activities.
