The rector Maurizio Tira, together with prof. Alberto Arenghi, delegate for disabilities, and prof. Francesco Castelli, who takes care of cooperation and development for the university, welcomed Martin Nole, Rector of the Ruaha Catholic University of Iringa in Tanzania, to the Apollo hall of the Rectorate. They signed an agreement, thanks also to the funding of Fondazione Museke onlus and Fondazione Tovini, for a scientific collaboration having also as focus the accessibility of disability in the African country.
“A project born with the aim of favoring development in the educational sector through a network of skills and resources , as well as promoting international cooperation between the countries of the South and the countries of the North in the perspective of an effective international democracy. For our university, the meeting with foreign delegations is an opportunity to talk about the territory in which we have strong relationships and ties with the widespread solidarity of Brescia society, especially towards Africa ” – pointed out the rector Tira – . “Facilitating access for students with disabilities”, prof. Arenghi said- is a duty that sees our university at the forefront ». The project includes the transfer of good practices and, the mutual exchange of both teachers and students, to give effect to the different interventions. “Internationalization and mobility projects are basic – added prof. Castelli to contribute to the formation of new generations, also based on cultural exchange and cooperation as well as specific training “.
